VDT is pleased to announce that following collaboration with the manufacturers, we are now able to support a new panel containing an external antenna attachment. This panel is uniquely offered by VDT to all it's UK based customers.

As you can see from the diagram on the right, adding either a 2dB or 6dB antenna can increase the distance between the devices (i.e. external cameras) and the alarm panel by 3 or 4 times. VDT has tested this scenario in different terrains, including:

• Industrial estates (metal structure)
• Industrial estates (brick structure)
• Industrial estates (brick and metal structure)
• Housing estates
• Undulating terrain

In all cases we were able to achieve distances of between 300-500 metre range between the panel and the device, making this one of the most attractive solutions on the market.
